Product Details

Zetaplus by Zhermack is a high-precision condensation silicone elastomeric impression material designed for final impressions of extraorally fabricated prostheses. Trusted for over 25 years, this material has maintained consistent performance and is widely respected in the dental industry. Zetaplus is hydrocompatible, ensuring it effectively captures detailed impressions with exceptional accuracy. It is known for its high initial flowability during the working phase and its excellent rigidity once it has hardened. The material is supplied in a green color with a refreshing spearmint flavor.

Zetaplus is primarily used in a two-stage technique, although it can also be used in a single-stage technique, offering two viscosities to suit different needs. By adjusting the catalyst dosage, Zetaplus provides an optimal working time while minimizing material contraction, thus maintaining an ideal balance between working and setting time. The inclusion of high-activity spheroid filler, Synthetic Amorphous Silica (SAS), improves the flowability and dimensional stability of the material, making it an excellent choice for achieving precise impressions.

Key Features:

  • High initial flowability with excellent rigidity once set
  • Thixotropic properties for wash materials
  • Superior tear resistance

Advantages:

  • Balanced rigidity and elasticity
  • Ideal working time and setting time ratio
  • High flowability for precise wash materials
  • Compatible putty and wash materials using the same catalyst (Indurent Gel)

Features

  • Minimizes mucous compression during insertion into the oral cavity
  • Achieves excellent hardness after setting
  • Works effectively as a special tray in the two-stage technique
  • Adapts to the consistency of low-viscosity fluid when double mixed
  • Adjustable working and setting times based on the amount of catalyst (Indurent Gel) used
  • Ensures safe disinfection with Zeta 7 Solution and Zeta 7 Spray

Directions To Use

Preparation Steps:

  • Select the appropriate technique (two-stage or single-stage) based on the clinical needs.
  • Ensure that all instruments are clean and dry before starting.

Mixing Instructions:

  • Dispense the required amount of Zetaplus putty and add the recommended dosage of Indurent Gel catalyst.
  • Mix thoroughly until a uniform color is achieved for optimal activation.

Application Process:

  • For the two-stage technique, use Zetaplus putty as the base impression material, followed by wash material for fine detail capture.
  • For the single-stage technique, combine materials of different viscosities for precision and adequate support.

Placement Procedure:

  • Load the material evenly onto the impression tray.
  • Insert the tray into the patient’s mouth, applying steady pressure for an accurate impression.

Setting Guidelines:

  • Allow the material to set according to the specified working and setting times.
  • Ensure the catalyst dosage is correctly adjusted to balance the working and setting times, minimizing shrinkage.

Post-Procedure Evaluation:

  • Gently remove the impression tray once the material has hardened.
  • Inspect the impression for accuracy, ensuring that it offers high tear resistance and dimensional stability.
