Directions To Use
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Open the bag and transfer the alginate into an airtight container.
- Shake the container 2-3 times to evenly distribute the powder, then use the dosing spoon to measure out the alginate, making sure not to compress it.
- Level off the measured alginate with a flat spatula and transfer it into a rubber mixing bowl.
- Repeat this process until the required amount of powder is collected.
- For each 9g spoonful of powder, add 1/3 of the measuring cup of water (18ml). For example, for a medium upper impression tray requiring 18g of powder, add 2/3 of the measuring cup (36ml) of water.
- Seal the container and store it in a cool place, between 5°C/41°F and 27°C/80°F.
- Add water to the powder and begin mixing as per the recommended times in the table. Apply the material onto the impression tray and insert it into the mouth before the end of the working time.
- Allow the material to set, following the recommended time in the oral cavity.
- After removing the impression, ask the patient to rinse their mouth with warm water.
- Inspect the patient’s mouth to ensure no traces of alginate remain.
- For better mixing and to minimize air bubbles, consider using a mechanical or automatic mixer, following the manufacturer’s guidelines for instructions and timing.
