Directions To Use

Pretreatment:

Clean the tooth using a non-fluoride polishing paste, such as Prime Dental’s Aster Prophy.
Select the shade using a Vita® shade guide while the tooth remains moist.

Cavity Preparation:

Use a minimal-invasive preparation technique, ensuring all enamel margins in the anterior region are beveled.
Avoid beveling margins in the posterior region and slicing preparations.
Clean the cavity with water, remove debris, and dry it.
Isolate the cavity, ideally with a rubber dam.

Pulp Protection/Cavity Liner:

For adhesive techniques, a cavity liner is not required unless it’s a very deep cavity. In such cases, protect the pulp by applying a calcium hydroxide material (e.g., Prime Dental’s Restorite LC Cal).

Approximal Contact Areas:

When working with cavities in approximal sections, use a transparent matrix and secure it in place.

Bonding:

Restorite Bond 7G Self Cure: Unscrew the cap and dispense the required number of drops into a disposable well. After dispensing, tightly screw the cap back on.
Apply 2-3 coats of adhesive to both enamel and dentine, agitating gently for 15 seconds with a fully saturated applicator.
Gently air-thin for 5 seconds to evaporate solvents, and light cure for 10 seconds.

Composite Filling:

Use dental instruments to handle and adapt the packable composite material.
Layer the composite material according to the tooth anatomy and restoration requirements.

Curing:

Light-cure all shades for 40 seconds per layer using a commercially available light-curing unit.
Position the light guide as close as possible to the surface, curing from both sides for multiple surface fillings.

Trimming:

After curing, trim and polish the composite using finishing diamonds, flexible disks, silicone polishers, and polishing brushes.
Check the occlusion and articulation, grinding off high spots or undesirable paths of articulation from the surface.

Final Finish:

Apply Aster Compo paste using a cup/brush or directly on the restoration or tooth.
Use the paste with low rotation and pressure, applying in circular motions. The thixotropic nature of the paste allows increased fluidity when rotated.
