Product Details

Prime Dental RC Seal is a high-performance root canal sealer formulated with epoxy-based components, designed to provide effective and durable sealing for endodontic treatments. It ensures a reliable seal, preventing bacterial entry and enhancing the longevity of root canal fillings. This sealer is biocompatible, minimizing irritation to surrounding tissues, making it a safe choice for various clinical applications.

The material is easy to apply, with excellent flow and adhesion properties that ensure thorough penetration into canal irregularities, offering superior sealing outcomes. RC Seal is suitable for both general dentists and specialists looking for a reliable and efficient solution in root canal therapies.

Indications:

  • For obturation of secondary dentition, with or without gutta percha or silver points.

Contraindications:

Directions To Use

Preparation: Clean and dry the root canal thoroughly, following standard endodontic procedures, ensuring it is shaped as required for optimal sealer placement.

Mixing: Mix Prime Dental RC Seal according to the manufacturer’s instructions to achieve the correct consistency.

Application:

  • Apply the sealer into the prepared canal using a syringe or spatula, making sure to coat the canal walls evenly.

Consolidation:

  • Use a gutta-percha point to gently compact the sealer throughout the canal, ensuring complete coverage and filling all the spaces.

Setting:

  • Allow the sealer to set for the time specified by the manufacturer before proceeding with further steps in the treatment.

Final Restoration:

  • Once the sealer has set, complete the treatment with the chosen restoration material.

Cleanup:

  • Dispose of any leftover material and thoroughly clean all instruments used during the procedure.

Precautions:

  • Avoid extending the sealer beyond the root canal into the periapical region.
  • If hydrogen peroxide was previously used for irrigation, rinse with sodium hypochlorite before applying RC Seal to prevent any unwanted chemical interactions.

Consistency and Application:

  • The ideal consistency is achieved when the mixed sealer can be pulled about ¾ inch from the spatula.
  • Use a lentulo spiral or bi-directional filler to place the sealer into the canal. The material will not drip but will flow adequately to cover the root canal walls. Ensure the instrument is rotated at low speeds (800-1000 RPM), and always withdraw at the same low speed.
  • Seal the master gutta-percha cone and continue condensation as needed.

Storage:

  • Keep RC Seal stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to maintain its integrity.
