Prime Dental RC Fill-I is an advanced endodontic filling material engineered for both permanent root canal fillings and as an adjunct to gutta-percha cones for effective sealing. This versatile formulation exhibits excellent radiopacity, ensuring that its placement can be easily monitored via radiographs for precise treatment verification. Designed with the capability to be resorbed by the body, RC Fill-I minimizes potential complications associated with over-obturation, making it suitable for a wide range of patients without any known contraindications.
The mixing process is streamlined for efficiency—requiring only 45 seconds for a complete mix—providing a generous working time of 15 minutes and an initial set within 30 minutes. An optional accelerator is included in the kit for clinicians who require faster setting times during the procedure. This flexibility allows practitioners to fill multiple canals from a single mixture, optimizing both time and material usage.
For any excess material, RC Fill-I can be easily removed using RC Solve, Prime Dental’s specialized gutta-percha and zinc oxide eugenol solvent, in conjunction with a Gates drill. To ensure consistent performance and long-term stability, the material should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Overall, Prime Dental RC Fill-I offers a reliable and efficient solution for endodontic procedures, combining ease of use, excellent sealing capabilities, and predictable outcomes to meet the demanding needs of modern dental practice.
Features
Versatile Material: Suitable for permanent root canal obturation and can also be paired with gutta-percha for enhanced sealing.
High Radiopacity: Easily visible on X-rays for accurate placement verification.
Biologically Resorbable: Designed to be naturally resorbed by the body, lowering the risk of complications from overfilling.
Wide Patient Compatibility: Safe for use in a broad range of cases with no known contraindications.
Efficient Handling: Mixes easily with a 15-minute working time and an initial set within 30 minutes.
Gutta-Percha Compatible: Works well with gutta-percha points as sealants for optimal endodontic outcomes.
Directions To Use
Preparation:
Begin by thoroughly cleaning and preparing the root canal to ensure it is free from debris and contaminants. Isolation of the tooth is critical to maintain a dry field before proceeding with the restoration.
Mixing:
Dispense the required amounts of powder and liquid onto the provided mixing pad. Using a metal cement spatula, blend the components in a consistent circular motion until a homogeneous mixture is achieved. The target consistency is reached when the mix can be drawn along the spatula to a distance of approximately ½ inch. (Note: Do not combine this material with eugenol.)
Application:
Once the mixture is prepared, use a paste carrier or bi-directional spiral instruments to fill the canal with the paste. Carefully remove any excess material from the canal using a cotton swab, then seal the canal with cement to ensure a tight closure.
Sealing with Gutta-Percha:
After the canal has been cleaned and prepared, choose an appropriate master gutta-percha cone. Fill the canal with the mixed paste using the same delivery method, then insert the master cone until you feel a definitive tug-back, which confirms proper seating and adaptation.
Setting Times:
- Working Time: The material remains workable for 15 minutes.
- Initial Setting Time: Begins to set in 30 minutes.
- Final Setting Time: Achieves complete setting within 6 hours.
Accelerator (Optional):
For scenarios that require faster setting, an accelerator is included with the kit to expedite the process.
Removal (If Needed):
Should it become necessary to remove the set material, use RC Solve—a specialized gutta-percha and zinc oxide eugenol solvent—along with a Gates drill to efficiently extract the material.
Storage:
After use, ensure the bottle is tightly closed. Store the entire kit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat to preserve its properties.
