• Gather all the necessary dental tools and materials beforehand.

Choose the Right Bur:

• Select the appropriate Mani Diamond Bur according to the required shape, size, and grit for your procedure.

Insert the Shank:

• Securely attach the Mani Diamond Bur by fully inserting the shank into the dental handpiece.
• Ensure compatibility with the handpiece’s shank size:
  • Friction grip shank diameter: φ1.6mm
  • Contra Angle shank diameter: φ2.35mm

Inspect Before Use:

• Perform a quick check by running the bur at a slow speed to ensure it’s balanced and securely fitted.
• Replace any bur showing signs of wobbling or irregularities to maintain accurate performance.

Prepare the Patient:

• Get the patient ready for the procedure by ensuring their comfort and applying anesthesia if necessary.

Coolant and Lubrication:

• Always use a consistent coolant spray during the procedure to avoid overheating of the bur and treated area.
• Keep the water flow steady to prevent blockages and minimize risks to the pulp.

Proper Pressure and Speed:

• Apply the correct amount of pressure, typically between 20 to 50 PSI, based on the bur’s diameter.
• Operate the bur at or below the recommended RPM to avoid excessive heat.

Maintain Steady Motion:

• Move the bur smoothly and consistently throughout the procedure.
• Avoid sudden jerks, tilting, or twisting, as these can damage both the bur and the precision of your work.
• Never use a pulling action.

Sterilization:

• After completing the procedure, ensure thorough cleaning and sterilization of the bur for safety and longevity.

Handpiece Considerations:

• Use a dental handpiece that can securely hold the bur’s shank.
• Choose a handpiece that can control the engine speed and includes a water spray system.
