Directions To Use

A. CROWNS

1. Tooth Preparation

  • Begin by filling any defects in the tooth using GC CAVITON or a comparable temporary filling material.
  • Take an impression with a heavy alginate material (low water content). To prevent distortion, wrap the impression in wet gauze.
  • Prepare the tooth that will receive the crown.
  • Create V-shaped notches in the impression from the gingival to the buccal and lingual sides to allow the escape of excess resin.

2. Mixing Process

  • The recommended powder-to-liquid ratio is 1.0 g of powder to 0.5 mL of liquid (up to the first graduation on both the powder measure and the liquid pipette).
  • For minimized shrinkage, use as little liquid as necessary.
  • Pour the liquid into the mixing jar and slowly add the appropriate amount of powder, mixing for 20-30 seconds.

3. Application Technique

  • Pour the creamy mixture into the prepared impression and seat it securely in the mouth.
  • After about 3 minutes, remove the impression, leaving the resin on the tooth.
  • To prevent shrinkage, remove the resin crown before it fully sets and dip it into hot water (around 50°C) several times.
  • Trim excess material with a bur, then polish the crown.
  • Use GC FREEGENOL or another suitable temporary cement to bond the crown in place.

B. BRIDGES

1. Tooth Preparation

  • Select an appropriate artificial tooth and secure it between the abutment teeth using suitable wax. Ensure the bite is correct.
  • Take a full arch impression with alginate material. Carefully remove the pontic and wrap the impression in wet gauze.
  • Prepare the abutment teeth as needed.
  • Follow the same procedures as outlined for crowns, from section A.1(a) to A.3(e).
