GC Gold Label Glass Ionomer is a strontium-based material that contains strontium glass, providing excellent radiopacity and snapset characteristics. Clinicians around the world prefer these properties for their consistent results. Strontium mimics calcium in forming strontium hydroxyapatite and strontium fluoroapatite, contributing to internal remineralization within the tooth structure. This process helps strengthen the tooth over time, offering long-lasting protection.
When placed in a calcium-rich environment, such as saliva, the strontium-based glass ionomer allows calcium ions to diffuse into its surface, enhancing its strength. As the material interacts with saliva, it gradually strengthens, reinforcing the restoration. The result is a surface that continually improves, offering added durability.
After mixing, GC Gold Label Glass Ionomer forms a glossy surface, which signals sufficient free polyacrylic acid for initiating the ion exchange process. This process creates a bond between the dentin, enamel, and the glass ionomer, leading to a strong and reliable seal that remains consistent over time.

Directions To Use
STEP 1: Begin by mixing the cement to the correct powder-to-liquid ratio (mix for 20 seconds for Gold Label 1).
STEP 2: Apply the mixed cement to both the restoration and the prepared tooth.
STEP 3: Seat the restoration within 30 seconds of completing the mix.
STEP 4: Remove any excess cement during the gel stage.
The total setting time is 4 minutes and 30 seconds from the start of the mix.
STEP 5: Once the final set is achieved, ensure moisture-proof margins by applying a final coat of GC Fuji Varnish or GC Fuji Coat LC.
