GC everX Posterior is a fiber-reinforced composite designed for dentin replacement, used in conjunction with conventional composites like G-ænial Posterior, which serves as enamel replacement. The short fibers in GC everX Posterior provide excellent reinforcement for composite restorations, particularly in large cavities. These fibers help prevent crack propagation, a leading cause of composite failures. Thanks to its unique properties, GC everX Posterior offers new possibilities for restoring extensive cavities chairside and provides an economical alternative for larger restorations.
Indications
GC everX Posterior is ideal for reinforcing direct composite restorations, especially in large posterior cavities. It is recommended for:
- Cavities with three or more surfaces to be restored
- Cavities with missing cusps
- Deep cavities, including Class I, II, and endodontically treated teeth
- Cavities requiring amalgam replacement (especially when amalgam placement can lead to cracks or cusp fractures)
- Cavities where onlays or inlays would also be appropriate
Features
The short fibers in GC everX Posterior effectively prevent and halt the progression of fractures in the restoration. These fibers contribute to fracture toughness that is equivalent to dentin and nearly twice as strong as any conventional composite, providing exceptional strength to the restoration.
The material exhibits minimal horizontal shrinkage, as the fibers help reduce shrinkage in the direction of their orientation. This allows for the application of 4 to 5 mm increments that can be cured simultaneously.
Additionally, GC everX Posterior ensures a reliable bond, both to the overlaying composite and to the tooth structure, ensuring a strong, durable restoration.
Specifications
Store in a cool, dark place, ideally between 4 – 25°C (39.2 – 77.0°F), and keep it away from high temperatures or direct sunlight to maintain its quality.
Package Contents
Universal shade(transparent)
- 15 x 0.13 ml (0,25 g) unitips
Directions To Use
EverX Posterior is recommended for cavities that are greater than 3mm in width. After bonding, any missing walls should be replaced with conventional composite. Then, apply EverX Posterior and finish the restoration by covering it with a final 1-2mm layer of conventional composite for optimal results.
